About the Opportunity
Valley Collision is looking for a Red Seal Auto Body Repair Technician based in Courtenay, B.C.
In this role, you will report to the Shop Manager and be responsible for delivering high-quality auto body repairs on a range of collision claims. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, efficient, and precise repairs that meet OEM and ICBC standards, contributing to the shop’s reputation for craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing quality bodywork on repairs ranging from small to large collision claims
- Following proper repair procedures, including updated metals and OEM techniques
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
- Operating with efficiency to achieve production targets (200–300 hours/month)
- Utilizing aluminum repair equipment and other specialized tools
- Collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth workflow and repair quality
- Meeting ICBC and OEM certification standards
- Upholding safety protocols and shop policies
About You
To qualify, you will need a Red Seal Certification in auto body repair. The ideal candidate will be capable of achieving 200-300 flat-rate hours per month, depending on workload and efficiency.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Familiarity with updated repair procedures and modern vehicle metals
- Experience working in an ICBC-certified or OEM-certified shop
- Experience using aluminum repair equipment and specialized body tools
- I-CAR certification or completion of related training programs
